Default Essex RSOC Chairman (MODS PLEASE DONT MOVE OR DELETE)

Just come back from another superb meeting with some really good cars on display for the club and as stated in other threads this club is getting bigger and better every month.

Although all was not good when it come to the Chairman's chat, i totally back Alex and all that he has put in to this club to make it what the club is now and sometimes i really don't think that we show Alex how grateful we are for all the time and effort he puts in and don't forget he is doing this out of the passion for the club/meet in no way does he receive any funding but manages every month/year to keep the club running smoothly and organizing shows etc as well as his personal life.

I for one have know Alex a long time and i do not want to see him step down after all the hard work, time and effort he has put in the club to make it what it is now so to show your gratitude and support i want you to add your name to the list to show your support in that Alex is to stay as Chairman

Steve

Thanks mate,Ive decided to stay on as your chairman as no one came forward that i feel can dedicate their time and give 110% for the club which includes sometimes covering costs, raffle, trophys, meets, shows, etc and believe me there is plenty more including the doubters who are jealous of our independance and the way we have grown as a club, wish to thank you all for the great support throughout, and shall see you all soon ,
also a big thank you to Sarah for her support and who also has commited to help me push the club forward even more
Thanks again... Alexis and Sarah

I have to ask a question ? ,If the essex crew are NOT officially a part of the main body of the RSOC ,how can the name RSOC be used by essex ?

Im asking this as Im curious not to cause any bad feeling as I have looked through the essex meets and pics threads here on PF and it seems to be a great meet.

I think the name Essex RSOC is used because we used to be affiliated with the RSOC in general but because of alot of problems encountered, the Essex group decided to be a lone club, willing to do their own things, still attending most of the shows all over, but not National Day.
I myself dont know the ins and outs of the disagreements etc, but I accept Alex's views and feel that as he runs a great group with a fantastic turnout of cars, with trophies, banners, cars of the night etc,
The amount of hard work that he puts into the Essex Group is superb, and lets not forget hes doing it for "US", not himself with no earnings either, and he also organises the Passionford Meet in Herts aswell!!!
If Alex were to leave the Group and give up the helm, then i can only assume it would turn into a meet every 2nd tuesday, where we just turn up and go home with no real interaction between us all as a 'group'.
Got to be said in the 13 or so years as an Essex Member ive not seen it any better, so as alot of Essex members will agree, Alex, you do a sterling job mate.

As for Why are we called Essex RSOC?......Because we are "Simply the Best"!!!..... and obviously a group of people from Essex who own RSs!!!...Simple....!!!!!

thanks for the answer chap as at least it gives me and others that dont have anything to do with essex a idea of whats what,But surely using the official name RSOC is sorta asking for bother from the main body
