I have two cossies and dont recognise that at all I am afraid... could it be some kind of belt tensioner for air con or something? Actually, it looks too good for a Ford part anyway??

I'm not sure where to get one from but I've seen one of those fitted on the rocker cover of a foreign cossie in one of the mags. Its supposed to tension the belt between the cam pulleys.

I think it was a 1 off part because I've not seen one on any other car.

 

It looks like dan has hit the nail on the head, in which case I wouldn't bother as not needed.
