hi there the 1.8 diesel engine in my 1994 escort van went pop last week and i need a new one i have looked at my local scrap yards and they all want stupid amounts of money for just the engine so i was looking around and i have seen a couple of mondeo diesels that are at a reasonable price i was wondering if the engine is the same and will it just bolt straight in to my escort vanand its gearbox or do i have to adjust bits somewhere to make it fit

if this is possible then any guides or tips would be great

the blocks are the same, i have a mk1 mondeo head and block in my sierra p100 TD, if your's in't turbo you'll need to change the pump to yours and probably some of the ancilleries.
