im looking into a efi conversion and want to know what the difference is i might be able to get hold of a frst loom but the bloke doesnt know what ecu was on it .So what is the difference or can either ecu be pluged onto any loom.And where do i look to see if my block has the hole for the cps is it the front or back of the block?

 

The hole is at the front of the block behing the starter motor ......as for ofac/fab rs bible is brob best best

ive checked on there and i doesnt say if either will plug into any loom i think im getting to grips with the conversion but dont want to get it all wired up then to find ive got the wrong ecu

 

look at the map sensor plug,the ofac type plug is the same as a xr2i, xr3i,ofab plug is the same as a cosworth map sensor plug,square type

 

ok thats great but ive just found out the engine loom is not there its just the rest of it so im back to square 1.Where did you all get your parts from do i just have to keep checkin ebay and ringing scrap yards
