Default Is it running to hot?

just compleated a full engine and car rebuild finished it the weekend,
well only a few teething problems but the most worring is the running temps.

new stat
new rad
new turbo cooler
new front mount
new water pump
well new everything realy.
i have a ford water temp gauge and when the car is moving its around 96deg
and when it was left running it went up to aroung 106-110deg!

is this to much? my fez turbo dont get this hot but that doesnt have a front mount.
on the original gauge its from half to three quaters.

any advise is much welcome

may be that the engine is a bit tight still if thats had a full rebuild

otherwise id check the running temps with a spot thermometer if you can get hold of one, and check the temp gauge is actually reading correctly

done around 1500 ish miles since the engine was done and was run in when it was bloody cold hence the reason i havent realy noticed the high temps.

been all round it with my hand to make sure the water is curculating propley, will try to get hold of a heat gun to check.

From what I have seen thats normal if you have a stock Stat, and fan switch mate. Fans come on at 100deg so might get a fraction over that.
I have an 82deg Stat and a Cossie fan switch which comes on at 88deg, but to be fair mine never see's over 95deg even with sustain 6-7k rpm runs at full boost.

She's running an 82deg stat and standard fan switch with a manual overide,

it's got a standard bumper on it aswell as I don't realy like cut out ones but I have one so I might give it a try to see If it helps.
