i think the bigest problem lies with the frontmount and the fact am using a standard fan?

should i buy 2 9" fans or one big one? maybe 2 fans, fit a new live feed with a relay to give them maximum power

my manifolds wrapd downpipe wrapd, elbow and turbo was but has bn removed should i splash out on a ( turbo jacket)?? no don't get a turbo jacket

is it wise to throw the thermostat away? no the thermostat is there for a reason, make sure yours is working, some suppliers do a lower temp opening item

any help would be apreciated cheers

Is your radiator in good order, with correct anti freeze mixture

google a product called wetter water or water wetter

and is your water pump in good order

If it's hot when your driving along your fans have nothing to do with it!

Mounting bigger fans don't cure a cooling problem.

Make sure your rad, the water pump, the thermostate are in a good condition. Check the antifreeze. AND most important: Check how your engine's running. When it's too lean, it also will be getting hot!

I'd recommend:

1. Check management / fuelling
2. Use a new (maybe alloy) rad
3. Use a 82° (RS1600i, maybe Cosworth and FRP also?) thermostate
4. Use a new water pump
5. Get rid of the standard oil cooler, get a new oil/air one!

i run an unvented bonnet, and switching to an alloy header tank helped loads. the alloy dissipates heat better than plastic i suppose.
