Hi I have been on here for a long time but this is the first time I have posted and just thought I would put a few pics of my Granada Cosworth 24v Turbo on. The conversion was done by Top Boss Performance and is running 280 bhp at the mo on a base map and is due to go back up there to be remapped to 350 bhp and has also been converted to manual the body kit is a Street Fighter kit for a mk1 Mondeo and is still work in progress the wheels are Fox RS's with 215 x45 x 17 tyres on there is still a lot of work to do on it but its getting there Cheers Vic

I like the engine but personally thats it, sorry just done like the body kit or exterior mods

 

mmm.. great what you have done to the engine, but seriously man, have a word with yourself, get some paint done and lose the spoilers. it would be so much better as a sleeper

 

Sorry mate but I have to agree with the revious comments here...Love the idea of a cossie turbo v6 BUT the car itself looks like a bag of shit !

It's your mota but I would take that kit + wheels off and put it back to standard looks. Make it a proper sleeper!

That would look so much nicer with subtle mods. Bet it goes pretty well though.

this reminds me of 'the dragon racer' which was a granada cosworth a friend of mine got to break that had a body kit reminiscent of fast and furious

i like the idea of a 24v turbo and have thought about doing it myslef but its not very cost effective. :/ u can get 280bhp from an emerald remap and big injectors.

but if im honest the wiring on that engine bay is a joke and looks dangerous, the airfilter is too small and the plenum looks a mess.

the car has the potential to be really good though what psi u running and what injectors??

 

I think it looks horrible,This car could look really mint if you sat down and thought of it.At the end of the day its your car so you can do what you want to do to it.

 

when i see this at santa pod doing 18sec qtr miles... i thought why the fuck u got that writen on the side... but now ive seen a turbo under the bonnet.. i still think what the fuck... u just cant buy style!!!

right.....where do we start......put pics up for input not insults.and as for do the sleeper bit....well when you see so many you want to do something different.......the car is having some different bodywork done and the engine is being remapped for 350 brake and an engine is being built to take over 500 brake so work in progress guys and as for 18 sec quarters its done 16.5 with a awkward clutch and that was my first go up a strip so laugh now and if it still does it next year then laugh again but it wont so u wont....as i said going for uprated internals to take at least 500 bhp......as for it being a bag of shit u are entitled to your opinion because thats what forums are for..........and if you want a granada cossie sleeper then been there ,done that and got the t shirt about 3 times.......to end it is work in progress and this post was to see what reaction i got but hey if this is friendly then i hope you dont turn nasty ....you might have passion for fords but for fooks sake dont call urself friendly ford

I hope you do get a 500BHP engine and get those quarter mile times down. At least then people will think the bodykit is a joke.....

Seriously though, the car looks like someone has bought a kit that was intended for a different car and then painted it badly and fitted it.

Perhaps you should take a step back and look at what you have created and decide whether it is what you intended. If it is; then great. If it isnt, then at least it is not too late to change.

 

To finish it I would recommend driving it to a scrapyard.

 

It may be a work in progress, but it doesn't make it right to roll around with such a shitty looking car. I think what we are all trying to say, is how on earth can you stick this tat on your car, and actually think it looks nice and fits in well with the lines of the car?

Be honest now, are you really able to take a step back, look at your car and say "Yeah, Yeah....I like that!". Are you fuck!

Its not my cuppa tea - I think your biggest problem is the bodykit - no amount of power is going to make it look good.

Basically it is almost like you driven through halfords thinking ill have a bit of this, a bit of that with no real plan as to what you were doing on the bodywork.

yes body kit dose look a mess at the mo as I have not had the time of late to finish it and yes it is ment for a mk1 Mondeo but as you can not buy body kits for Granada's any more then us Granada owners have to fabricate and modifiy which is the way it used to be done before you could go out and buy a ready made kit and a tube of no nails to stick it on with which I think u will find is called old sckool so yes I have a lot of work to do to make it look right and I thought that modified cars where all about individuality not cars with the same boring mods from Halfords

i fit bodykits at work and to be honest if you brought that to me to spray i would turn you away, am only be honest. i like most like the body work to flow with the lines of the car of which i'm afraid yours doesn't.
to be fair the bumpers when cleaned up would be cool, but i think those sideskirts are better suited to a three door type car. i'd throw those tacky chrome arches as they only look ok, yes only ok, on old skool mercs
and for god sake take those spoilers off they don't suit most cars let alone yours i would never fit them to that car at the bodyshop
i'm am being critical as this is my profession and feel passionate about it and you have come on here asking opinions
