have had it rebuilt less that 1000 miles ago but the piston rings have now gone so would like it checked over before i rebuild the engine i was going to have a t38 compressor wheel put in it but am happy with this spec turbo.

 

If it was rebuilt 1000miles ago don't bother

Most places would tell you once taken apart you need new this and that to put it back together with Gets expensive quick!

 

just wont to make sure everythink it spot on, its boosting fine and everythink just want to make sure it hasn't had blow by on the oil seals or anythink it shouldn't have as its got a race spec staggered rear oil seal

 

I was told by CR turbo's even if the turbo has had oil going through it then it won;'t have had any effect.

I done exactly what you're wanting to do and sent it to CR turbo's and then it had a new 360° thrust bearing, all seals etc basically a full rebuild. It didn't need it but once you've sent it to them you're int he position where maybe you're stupid not to do it?

What pissed me off though, was I was told it was £400 and something, so gave my card details over the phone. Loked at my bank statement a few days after, and the price they quoted me was +VAT!

 

They always quote + vat you miserable wee fucker james

 

Wasn't told that when I was paying though. Imagine the shock!
