If its a focus RS as per your sig, surely thats WAY too thick, should be 5w30?

who the hell told you that, its 5w40 ford fully synth is the spec for all the focus RS cars, 5w30 is for the normal zetec

why not not just do a full oil change,, mobil one is still a very good oil even though the internet salesman prefers silkolene

well i know for a fact they are wrong,,,,, i work at ford remember but then again opie oils seems to have always been 1 sided claiming to be helping when in reality they are just salesmen

they know what they have been told, they dont refine oil in anyway way shape of form hence they have made such a school boy error based on " its a zetec"

look at them on the net,,,,, the ONLY oil they recomend no matter if its for mazda, ford, bentley, cooking chip, suntan, sewing machine or even waxoil it will be silkolene purple oil with basic thickness

15w50 is good for track use on my car as otherwise it burns oil,,,,, currently im using ford formula E fully synthetic as its 10.99 for 5 litres of the stuff from main dealers,,,,,, cant go wrong at that price IMO considering i change it every 3k miles ,,,,,, oh and its made by castrol

id LOVE to know what they recomend for the Vag engines or the BMW engines from 2003 onwards
