its quite simple

case cover off, tap off the 2 circlips holding the output shafts in place, pull them out, then remove the locking tabs, then c spanner or thin flat bar and wind out the holding rings and out pops the diff, I would leave the pinion in place as that more awkward to do.

lol i dont need to ask anymore questions.
the reason why the diff needed to be stripped, would depend on the advise given.i have rebuilt quite a few cossy diffs.
if its just because mk asked for it,then carry on.

ahh cushty mate ,

no problems with the diff , its in fine working order, think mark just wants to double check the mounts with my casing ,

and obv more manageable to handle and post when the internals are removed

also going to have him weld in a fitting for a -6 areoquip fitting for a breather ,

but he dnt know thta just yet lol

no problem.

you will need a dial gauge to put it all back together again, there is a good explanation in one of the online Ford rally prep books on how to rebuild the diff.

Mate of mine put one back together for me and set it up by sight, just watching the way the roller bearings moved in the cage as he adjusted the winders, and it was spot on when re fitted, but thats from years of experience.
