Default -31 actuator

if im replacing a standard actuator do i just put this on as normal and keep sdjusting the rod until im at the correct boost?

the safe limit on a -31 is 8-10psi, so adjust the rod till you achieve this then the rest of the boost pressure will need to come from a bleed valve/boost controller.

im only running at 10 psi anyway so i will adjust the rod and will not need the bleed valve is that correct

from the posts ive put up you seem to be on most of them karlos and you seem to know your stuff and have given good advice so i thankyou for that.But now i want to pick a bit more do you have a link to timing its a standard cam and pulley many thanks again

No worries mate!
Standard timing is 12deg BTDC with the vacuum hose on the ECU pulled off and your finger over the end of the pipe (or it may stall)

ive done cam belts before but not on a rs i have got a haynes so is it ok to follow that as i havent got a timing disk to dial in 12 deg btdc

You use a timing light mate, a disc is for dialling in your cam timing not your ignition timing.

ok got a timing light so how do i exactly go about it set the crank to tdc at no1 and the cam to the timing mark as per haynes.Then how do i get it to 12 deg adjusting thedizzy?

Yes mate stick the light on No.1 plug lead, remove vacuum hose from ECU (block with finger), car should idle, twist dizzy to adjust timing.
Obviously you need to put a bit of white paint on the crank pulley cut away, and the 12deg mark on the bottom cam belt cover first

right got it i take it the 12deg mark is marked up as 12 deg or is it in sections and i count 12 marks

IIRC 0 is the biggest mark and then each mark is 4 deg, so it's the 3rd one to the left, but check in your haynes manual as I've not done it for a looooong time! lol
