Default Samsung Galaxy S any good?

Everybody seems to talk about the iphone4 alot but it seems overpriced to me and the only other phone i ever get recommended to me is the HTC Desire.

I just noticed this samsung on carphone warehouse site and it seems to do everything they do but its abit cheaper!

Anybody got one or used one?

Good phone but I dont like the Touch Wiz UI, the athetics, build quality, and there is no flash.
Desire is a very good buy, also the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is a great phone, even more so when the Andriod 2.1 update arrives in a month or so

Iphone 4 is much better then the previous models, but the 3.5" screen is a little dissapointing, 3.7" or 4" would have been better, and of course the usual ball ache of jailbreaking to truly get the most out of it (if thats your thing).

Great phone but very buggy OS (winmo 6.5), hangs all the time and often needs a restart like every other day or so

Your right, but IMO the HTC Sense UI is much much better than the Samsung Touch Wiz UI... just my opinion of course.

Lozi the HTC stuff is really good, the Android os isn't as crippled as the apple stuff from the factory and I wont even go into microsoft.

I've been using the HTC Hero for about a year-ish now and cant fault it.
