dump valve bung question
i have a RS turbo charge carrier (metal type) on my mondeo, and it has a air sensor thingy (not in use) in the dump valve take-off. i suspect this sensor isnt air tight, so i want to put in a proper bung. is the hole in the charge carrier threaded, if so am i right in thinking a M14 bolt will fit in there?
that aint the dump valve take off!
and it must be air tight! other wise it would loose rs trubos there boost! but if you suspect it aint air tight then either stick some sealent on it! or weld sumit into it!

ah ok i will forget it then! i have a slight boost problem (its on a 1.8TD mondeo with front intercooler conversion) so i suspect its either a faulty dawes device boost controller, or a split intercooler pipe (been waiting for weeks for replacement
)
cheers!
the dump valve is more for a bit of a laugh than anything else, not trying to be chav. and its not fake, it is properly plumbed into intercooler ducting. your the first person i have ever known who said its a bad idea! everyone else thinks its well funny to have a DV on this motor - keeps people guessing wondering what under the hood (the zorst blanks out most of the diesely sound, and on full throttle it sounds nothing like a diesel since i got it tuned up)
