I was replacing all my erst lights & indicators. I bought DEPO front clear indicators.
When i opened the box i cant believe my eyes.











Can someone recommend good set of clear indicators, which 100% sure fit as they should do? I think i have to order those from U.K because here in Finland Depo is almost only brand..

 

 

Thats terrible m8, i have had sets from depo before some good some bad, have you looked on ebay at the sets on there as there are quite a few best mail them and find out what makes they are???

 

Woah that is bad!! Pattern parts are often not the best but that is a joke!

 

I haven't managed yet to find decent set of clears for my MK2 Orion i'm totally happy with. . .
They all seem to be as bad

 

Thats what you get for replacing lovely ambers i will look in my garage here I have a set somewhere.

 

Best ones i have ever found are the ones with the silver rim round the outer edge

its a sod getting good ones, it worse for mk2 fiesta tho, old 1's were crystal and great then all you coudl get was whiteish ones that were a micro thick and crap

i've had a look myself and your right they seem to have stopped making the clear ones for some reason. the ones twins has are ultra ones as i have the same. i bought mine about 4 years ago.

maybe you can find some used ones?

 

its a replica rs500 one ,i cut and shut a saff bumper into my 90 spec then modded the splitter to fit

 

SO BASICALLY UR A CLEVER FUCKER LOL!

That's really bad. Buying parts that are road legal in Germany is a good idea. As mentioned they usually have a good quality. But the only indicators you can buy are modified MK4 ones. All of the owners over here brake or drill the yellow screen inside their standard indicators and pull them out in little pieces!

Okay. There is basically 3 kind of clear indicators available. Depo, TYC and those italian.
I bet every ones are crap. I took a quick search about new ambers G/Ford but i have to pay over 50-70£ +postage / pair for only front indicators. How mad is that?
Yesterday 2hours of trying to get those sit nice but not.. Sad that ultra clears are discontinued.

 

I had the very same issue, 3 diferent suppliers said they had the ultra clear ones in stock, turns out they didnt as they are discontinnued.

What I did was get a set of Depo ones, admittedly they look alot better quality than the ones you have. I then smashed the orange filter through with a large screwdriver. Once it was dislodged I got a pair of old garden hand cutters that I managed to get in through the hole and cut the orange filter up, pulling it out piece by piece.

Looks good but a lot of bother to go through.

Asked today and new set of ambers will cost 82€ / set. I think that is something like 70£.
The problem is not amber lens inside but the how poor fitment is.

Looking at your pictures above is the little metal clip on the side of the indicator pushed all the way in ? ive had a set before that i couldnt get to sit right after abit of fettleing of said clip i got it to clip in and look spot on

Yep, i notice that clip. I have been tested different clips and try to play with those but no.

 

You think that clear indicators with crap fitmet are better?
