I bought the phone this week from someone on here. He had it from vodafone and i'm on o2. I didn't realise i'd have to jailbreak it to use on o2 so decided i'll sell it and think i might buy a new one instead
The phone is brand new. The seller had turned the phone on and added a couple of apps and thats all.
You need to tell vodaphone that your going abroad on holiday and wanting to buy a local sim card whilst over there, because you dont want the massive roaming charges
They should unlock it for free maybes a small charge

Vodafone will NOT unlock an iPhone no matter where you go, it says this on the website
iPhone 3G and 3GS are locked to networks if purchased with a contract, only way to get an iPhone unlocked is through o2 or Orange, iPhone 4 is unlocked as standard if purchased from APPLE, still locked if contracted
you can get these unlocked i got mine done my mate did it and he opened it to any network too 20 quid i cost me, if you were local i could sort it out but since your other end of the planet

You can only unlock o2 from the website form which costs £20
