Slovenia were PISS POOR, yet we were getting comments about how good England were.

Joe Cole came on late-ish and had 1 or 2 good balls in and he was quoted to have had "an excellent" game"

A 1-0 win over Slovenia is NOT a good result... Yet suddenly now the English media seem to think all is OK and the past 2 results/performances have been forgotten about?

England stuck it in the corner for the last 5minutes, against Slovenia!? That is embarrassing. Not the actions of a team capable of winning the world cup, are you not a bit scared of facing a real footballing team in the next round?

I thought the first two results would be the reality check you lot needed but it seems this has not been the case and suddenly after a ropey win you are once again world beaters!?? What a laugh.


However, since the USA scored late on, I am delighted, Slovenia were shite, never went for the kill and now they have been pumped out, serves them right! Also delighted England go through in second, which, from that group of minnows is brilliant

Kinda hope England get put out by Argentina further on in the comp, let messi and co take the piss out them for a while

It was a better performance for sure. But capable of winning the World Cup based solely on that performance... FUCK OFF! If anybody here actually believes that England could win the World Cup judging by how they played today seriously needs a reality check. There are teams that look just FAR FAR stronger than England do right now and the only way England will progress is taking it a game at a time and they have to play better than they did today.

Keeping the ball in the corner is a good legitimate way of wasting time neat the end of the game. If its good enough for Brazil when 3-1 up v Ivory coast, then its good enough for us. Hell, they were even rolling around and diving up at their corner flag (which lead to the Kaka incident).

maybe the comentator said there back in with a chance due to the fact that
at both games at 0-0 England were going out (hence not going through)
however once England scored they were going through to the knock out stage where
over 90 or 120 minutes or even god forbid penalties anyone on there day can go through !!!!!!!!

p.s i thought in spells today we (England to you jealous,bitter,lesser footballing nations)
