29mins into it, the commentator said something along the lines of "England are back in the race to win the world cup" or some utter bullshit.

Slovenia were PISS POOR, yet we were getting comments about how good England were.

Joe Cole came on late-ish and had 1 or 2 good balls in and he was quoted to have had "an excellent" game"

A 1-0 win over Slovenia is NOT a good result... Yet suddenly now the English media seem to think all is OK and the past 2 results/performances have been forgotten about?

England stuck it in the corner for the last 5minutes, against Slovenia!? That is embarrassing. Not the actions of a team capable of winning the world cup, are you not a bit scared of facing a real footballing team in the next round?

I thought the first two results would be the reality check you lot needed but it seems this has not been the case and suddenly after a ropey win you are once again world beaters!?? What a laugh.


However, since the USA scored late on, I am delighted, Slovenia were shite, never went for the kill and now they have been pumped out, serves them right! Also delighted England go through in second, which, from that group of minnows is brilliant

Kinda hope England get put out by Argentina further on in the comp, let messi and co take the piss out them for a while
