Hi I am currently rebuilding a fiesta super sport. It had been sat for 17 years and was not looking too healthy. It now has a rebuilt 16oo jetronic rs turbo lump which was a C**T to fit. when I first got it, it looked like it had been driven through halfords covered in superglue! and it has had round lights fitted and a mk2 bootlid. my aim is to put everything possible back to standard, all bodywork and decals to be restored, and the correct wheels. I bought the car for £300 and have spent so far around £3500. the aim for power is 150bhp, but i have kept the 4 speed box as i didnt want to weaken the car anymore, torque steer might be an issue. the airfilter will have to come through a hole in the bonnet which i havnt quite sussed out yet. the exhaust was an easy fix but the driveshaft has proven dificult as the original crossflow is a 3 parter, i had to buy an xr2 shaft and knock the end off and have the original end from the crossflow put on in its place, also had to be shortened. when i work out how to i will post some pics. hopefully the car will be moted this week!

hello mate i see you are from high wycombe, im just up the road in stockenchurch, i have just bought a rs turbo fez and im planning on fitting the running gear to a mk 1 fez is there any tips pointers or things i need to know??

 

Fiesta Center, they will sell you the kit to convert to 5 speed, and fit new engine mounts. also they will give you very helpful instructions to carry out the work. But be aware this is a very difficult project. My fiesta is in west wycombe at the moment so not far from you, it should be finished tomorrow and moted on saturday. roll on teething problems!!

alrite guys,am having proplems in doing the same project,rst into mk1 fiesta,gearbox mounts are my proplem,am gona put up a post and see if any1 can help me.
