I bought a brand new 3gs iphone as i finally gave in to the apple call.

Now this is stupid but i assumed they could be properly unlocked and not jailbroken

This is on vodafone and i'm o2. Apparently only o2 can unlock the cunting things.

What the fuckedy fuck do i do now? I really dont want any JB fuck about with software. I just want the phone to work

So is selling the only option or can i unlock properly?

I got mine unlocked and mine was from Australia and guess what we dont have O2 here

 

Get an O2 pay as you go sim with 15 quid credit then you can do it online

o2 site says something about 3g sim card. mine doest say 3g on it and is quite old. do i need to request a new one from o2?

 

yh its best to have a new sim card as 3g can drop out and be a lil slower on the old cards

 

if you dont have a 3g card you cant use the 3G network, so no fast downloads and difference coverage

as of july 24th you can buy the iphone 4 from the apple shop factory unlocked only issue is you need a micro sim for them to work

i am getting a factory unlocked 3gs on monday from the apple shop they will sell them from the 24th june but same time the iphone 4 comes out so i'll let the manic crowds go away before i get the 3gs just upgrade to 1SO4 software
