hi everyone!

I need some visual inspiration for a new set of alloys on my mk4. I am keeping with a set of Ford alloys but dont want to go down the usual Mondeo/Escort 16s/15s and cant deal with arch scraping EsCos wheels.

anyone with puma wheels? cougar wheels? are there any 7.5J ford rims?

 

IMO cougar wheels dont suit the shape of the mk4. I really like escos monte wheels on them, looks really fresh and theres not alot of mk4's on them. St24 wheels is another option but they're an aquired taste.
i have mk5 rs2000 wheels on my orion, they're ok, but nowt special.

Why do you want ford alloys pal? I like the look of the rs 2000 alloys the solid 5 spoke ones they got a good look.

not quite sure!! I just like Ford rims on Ford cars that should never have had them on. I have a set of SportKa 6spokes but they are just too narrow. Its fairly easy to pick up a set of Ford wheels for the same price as some manky aftermarket second hand jobbies.

 

what are these commonly known as? they are sierra saph/cosworth wheels right? i do like these on mk4s but not special enough. Ideally I want something 16".

Actually, I think I am just way too fussy and that my ideal rim choice probebly doesnt exist!

 

I love the way cos wheels look but dont they rub horribly on full lock? what tyre size are you running? also, are they MOT passable on the car? ie - dont they stick out further than the arches (i have s2 arches on mine)

 

IMO when you see Cossie wheels fitted in the flesh they look shite, sticking out the arches way too far and/or with stretched tyres, and drive like shit too, look slightly better on a very low RST but not much.

 

I love rs7 spoke dimond cuts on escorts if i could find a 16 inch set i would have them anyday as 17s are to big and the drive is shit with them on imo.
