got mk4 astra 1.6 that needs a cv joint..im going to just put a 2nd hand drive shaft in for quickness.. ive been told to make sure i get the right one as they differ from each other..what i need to know is can i take a shaft from any mk4 astra and fit it to mine? ie will one from a 1.4 fit mine? any help appreciated. thanks

 

Yes I should imagine so, easiest way is to count the splines on the shaft and match it to the new one.

 

1.4 and 1.6 are or should be small block so any small block should fit
