Hi guys need a bit of advice. i was putting the car back together today, went to put the water pipes on the turbo and noticed the threads were rusty, so i tried cleaning the threads with the water banjo bolt and went in a bit much, when i came to undo it the bolt snapped in the thread, tried mole grips and had the gas on it, it's in there well tight, i thought about drilling just shy of the thread and then try and tap into the exiting thread, is this a good idea, also i noticed my mate took a very very tiny notch out of the corner of the exhaust wheel blade will this be all right. Had a crappy day with this.
sounds like a bad day

tell me about it the notch is about 1.5mm big hardly anything, will it be bad or is it worth getting a new exhaust whell and have the thing re balanced?
dont bother witht he water cooling, just let it warm up and cool down for a bit before shutting the engine off. unless its a roller bearing one?
fyi my turbo is not water cooled
as for the exhaust wheel, i rebuilt a turbo myself before and that lasted 6 months of abuse before i sold the car, and it was fine when i sold it.
if it really is a very tiny bit, then i personally wouldnt be to worried, so long as a blade is not cut in half etc
