i picked it up today with the bottom end knocking, wondering if the crank is std or oversized etc etc, i have no history with it either. cant make my mind up weather or not to sort it or move it one, seems a ok paint job its had theres not a mark on it externally although the underbonnet needs painting ideally

seems to be std intercooler etc etc

well hopefully this links helps

https://passionford.com/forum/restor...4-05-06-a.html

1. it was a low comp bottom end (was running 185 @14psi if memory serves me right)
2. it did have a pace intercooler when i sold it
3. it had a respray done by rs-baz on here
4. yes it did need painting underbonnet tbh
5 i sold it with a fair bit of history

however it is good to see it is still about and the interior still in it

more pics and info here on my website

That looks like a nice S2, especially like the interior. Would change the headlamps back to standard though. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it billybigspuds?

well my first instinct was to junk the bumper and lights for latespec.

i now have to make a choice, buy a cheap ish engine get it running or strip it and get crank ground with new shells etc

it does have potential to make a extremely nice car, its all about weather or not i have the time to do it, while engines out id be a fool not to repain the engine bay and front panel as som fool has painted the front panel black pmsl but i can see its all good inderneith the paint

i spose its easily worth 2k min done so i now have to make a decision, knock it on for a couple hundred drink if im lucky or do it and it will prob owe me 1500

i see you had guages in it wondering if thats any connection as to why the clocks guages dont work

it also needs the black clocks surround bit as someones bodges a boost guage in.

ill wash it tomorrow as its filthy and im sure its going to look superb, but it would look a whole lot better with latespec bumper normal headlights and std spot lights put on

the leathers a nice touch i have to be honest it could be something nice once done

Ł1000 that looks like a bargain. I'd say it's gotta be worth sorting, i'm sure you wouldn't loose on it.

looking back, i wish i had left the original lights in now
dunno why front panel is black though
all the guages did work at point of sale

well its not a bad car for 21 years old to be honest. only couple inor marks

from what i gather it needs:

engine or a bottom end

gear selector as its looser than a dirty birds panties

roof lining tucking up prop at rear

sort out why the clocks dont work

rear brakes adjusting

if its to be made into a real nice car while engines out paint under bonnet, also considering at same time painting boot floor just for that special touch

deffo ditch the lights and fit a latespec bumper

still cant make my mind up what to do, depends on wether a cheap engine etc comes my way
