Default What Boost controller?

I have Sierra Cossie 380 hp, -34, t34.55, Map 3 bar, and I am using the Amal valve.
But I am not getting steady boost and want to hear what you guys are using for this setup.
What Boost controller is the best buy for this setup?
Thanks for your comment.

My AMAL valve is long gone, although the nerds on here will know how to make it work better

Could change to an external wastegate. That usually makes boost more stable, but pricey.

I do have an external wastegate, and I'm using a manual controller that works on the principle of an external wastegate, in that it has an adjustable spring pressure that only allows the wastegate to see boost, and therefore open, once the desired level of boost has been reached.

The main advantage is it's SO easy to install, adjust, and it's SO CHEAP!

In fact, you could likely install this on the airline to your turbo wastegate, keep using your AMAL valve, and still see an improvemnt in turbo response and steadier boost up top.

Here's a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NXS-M...Q5fAccessories

There seem to be lots of companies selling them, some are UK based too

Make sure you get this set up on a dyno or have your air/fuel checked, or the money you save buying it could be spent on your melted engine

My Cossie is still on its Amal valve, but my Mitsubishi runs a Blitz boost controler. Awesome bit of kit once you've sussed it all out....deffo going to get another for the cossie.

Apexi AVC-R is a great bit of kit, if you've got a spare £500.

The Blitz controler is a bit more expensive than the Apexi but tbh its probably just name tax your paying the extra for....

http://shop.edoperformance.co.uk/bli...k-p-10715.html

Here's a pic of the controler Im using in the GTO along with a pic of the Power meter Ive got hooked up to it. The two together make a unit thats around din size, making installation quite easy in most cars.

I use Greedy Profec B spec II and it's quite good but I have to admit that the Apexi AVCR is better because it has boost control depending on gear selected if you like! That means that you can use low boost for 1st-2nd gears to reduce wheelspin and higher boost to the rest of the gears! Quite impressive!!!!

Thanks guys, I have not yet bought a boost controller.

Has anyone tried this one:
http://www.boostcontrollerstore.com/...-Kit-p-15.html ?

And one more thing, IF I buy a good boost controller, will I be able to have 2,2 bar at all time with my T34.55?
Or will it as now with Amal valve, go in peak to 2,2 and drop to 1,6 bar?

Finally, I would be interested in buying a good used boost controller..

That just looks like an expensive bleed valve, you would be better off with a proper electronic boost controller.

i used blitz dual sbc spec s when i was running stage 3, its only reommended for 1.3bar so boost was a bit unsteady over that but it made my car come alive. im going for a spec r now which can handle 2.5bar.
