Yep property in a high growth area. Although choose the timing and area carefully to maximise return.

High risk ones such as foreign currencies and shares if you bank on loosing the money in the first place so if you do, its not a disapointment.

Also high interest overseas accounts such as Switzerland which usually require a fair amount up front of which you would fall into. Search for off shore account in google which should return a few.

I'd go for some land - building companies are paying the earth for it these days....

Or even a RS500, that'd be a nice investment!!! (sorry had to get something in!!!)

Also overseas property if you can get it is a good idea. I would be sceptical about investing just at the moment in property as it appears to be a bit flat in a lot of areas. Maybe wait until later in the year for it.

Put 30K in premium bonds, you cant go wrong with those and chance to win a million. Still there if you want to take it out as well then.

Personally I’d buy a couple of properties in the USA, in Florida near Disney Land. As the pounds is strong against the dollar, so you’ll get a good deal. Then rent the property out as holiday homes. Good investment in my opinion.

Thought about buying abroad. Just got back from tenerife and we rented a villa and it cost 3 of us 900 for the week. That does sound tempting.

Land is the best investment as they stopped making it ages ago.
Gold/stocks and shares etc are a bag of shite unless you are the broker.
Best land returns abroad are presently land in Northern Florida (I bought 6 acres @ $3.5 per acre that are now doing $20-35k per acre) and Northern up state New York (I am going over to view some sites next month) due to the recent declassification of some areas there, most of the large Eastern block cities are really on the up (got 3 flats in Prague that have tripled in value in just 18months). If you dont fancy sitting on some land and want properties to rent/renovate its worth paying for a specialist to advise you where to buy. Unlike the UK the govts of most EU countries will divulge information on companies/individuals offering info etc and only go with one they endorse esp in the East.

Property in the Eastern Block is a deffo raiser.
I have just recently bought a place in Varna Bulgaria and i am Ł10k up in a matter of months. Seen places over there quadruple and youve also got the bonus of the Euro to arrive there.

The arse has dropped in Tenerife IMO, Ł60k for a 1 bed aparment in Los Gigs is abit pricey in my eyes.

Land over here would be hard to buy cheaply as every fooker knows the value of it.

Life Assurance Investment bond! Tax free and a lot of them have Guarantees to ensure your capital will not erode!

Worth looking into writing it in Trust though as god forb in the event of your death the tax man would be walking away with a hell of a lot of your hard earned!
