Ok got a really strange problem on my mk5 escort, 1.3 hcs carb manual choke

No batttery light with ignition on or choke or handbrake light

Start the car up everything seems ok but got no brake lights headlights or main beam

at this stage i checked battery voltage and it was 11 volts however if you rev the car the battery light comes on not bright but not dim, When the battery light is on checked voltage again and got 14 volts but still no brake lights headlights or main beam,

with battery light showing my light comes on dim for the choke when its pulled out but still no handbrake light

the horn hazard lights wipers heated rear screen indicators side lights and rear fog all work which is basically all the electrics it has being a base model.

Dont know if it makes a diffence but the green light comes on the dash to say the lights are on but just realised ive got no oil light either and noticed my temp gauge was sat lower than normal when on a run yesterday and also the relay doesnt click when applying the main beam and nor does the blue light to back this up.

So this is a really strange problem on a really reliable car with no electrical gadjets to go wrong lol its baffling me and i dont know what to do or where to look next so any help greatfully recieved cheers grant

Not touched it yet mate wanted some opinions cos when it comes to electrics im stuffed, if ya can fix it with spanners hammers or sockets im fine lol,

will start to check them mate any particular place i should start 1st? cheers for the reply
