hi there, im new to these forum thingy's so forgive me if i aint doin it right. lol. Right to the point, the other day mt mrs tried to slam our focus into reverse without using the clutch!!
it didnt get into reverse but made the usual grinding gears sound, no every time i pull away, in 1st or reverse there is a 'clonk' or knock noise, only 1 knock, and only from stopped. can anyone tell me what she has done please?

 

Maybe check the engine mount at the rear of the gear box?
