Mate has the Mivec in dark Blue. IMO that is the only way to go as there are a fair few of the lower spec ones. His is also manual not tiptronic.

I think they need modifying to toughen the look up a bit, i.e. bigger wheels, different spoiler. They sound good and go well. His was 200bhp standard I believe.

I had use of it for a day and really enjoyed it but has comparison to a cossie.

One of my mates had a mivec one, he drove it through a deep puddle and the engine seized the insurance took it to a ralli art place at preston and they wrote it off it had snapped a rod, bent another and done something to the block also the ralli art place quoted nearly 8k for a new engine

My mate that has just got the bargain Ł1500 Impreza used to have one a couple of years ago. It was a bright yellow V6 Mivec thingy. Apparently quite rare as it was the manual and not auto.

Pulled nicely but just didn't feel quick
