Default st170 camshafts, fit 2.0 blacktop zetec?

will my pair of st170 cams fit striaght into to my 2.0 black top engine and will they give any performance increase? i assume i can fit the std. cam pulleys on and time it noramally then.

won't fit, no - big difference is the inlet cam accomodating the vct pulley.

Yes you can, check valve to piston contact though as I'm unsure about that

got complete st170 head with the cams today - i will be better off putting the head and cams on my blacktop now i suppose. - this goes straight on doesnt it?

also my inlet manifold - i need to 'slot' it apparently - up or down - how much? thanks for any help.

Head should bolt straight on you'll need slot manifold holesdown the way as ports on head are 5mm higher. you'll probably have to lock inlet pully someway to set timing as normal pully wont fit
