my airbag light came on my dash the other day, Does anyone know if the light on the dash is fed from the fuse box or a seperate airbag unit, or if there is a relay for the air bag unit, or where the power to the airbag unit is fed from?

any help wouldbe great guys

I would guess the clock spring has broken in the steering wheel, the airbag wiring is all a separate loom (yellow wires) from the main loom, and plugs into the fuse box then goes to the control box (behind the clocks right hand side) off this loom is the dash light.
I fitted my own airbag system to my escort as it didn't have one when I bought it..
