well i thought i would start a build thread for my leon cupra track car. here are some pics of the car as it stands today.






plans are to start with new wheels and tyres, new brakes and coilovers.and to fully strip it out.

Think he got a Body Kit off Ebay a few year ago ... Came with F/R bumpers and Skirts ..

Will have a word and pop up a link if any ..

210 brake remap (revo)
drives loads better on the 16's than the later starfishes it came with or the 18's pictured
runs a bar and a half
do you want some samco's? i bought 2 sets thinking i for 1 set boost 1 set water :doh:

i have orderd kw v3 coilovers they should be here next week .
also some 356mm 8 pot ksport brakes but they will take 10-12 weeks to arrive

What are your plans?

 

first off to get it to stop and go round corners.

i used to have an rx7 with those ksport 8 pot brakes. they were foookin awsome!!

thats good to hear about the brakes

no plans for the engine yet maybe over winter or next year for more power.
just want to have some fun in it this year

 

Nice base car there one thing i would recommend is changin the ARBs it makes a massive improvement on how the car feels, runs the same suspension set up as the m4 golf so parts are interchangeable, I would also recommend getting your self a VAG COM cable to run some diagnostics checks and also will allow you to log everyhting that the engine is doing.

Are you going to stick with the ko3s or go big turbo with it

New seats and suspension have arrived I will get some pics up

 

i went out in the ones at castle combe,
200bhp i think they are, LHD aswell.
went pretty well

 

I like this, I bet you lost a ton of weight by ditching the leather?

 

NEW PARTS HAVE ARRIVED

just need to get them fitted now

 

reakon so the front seats were electric and way a ton. the new seats must only way a third of what the old ones were may be less.

orderd some new anti roll bars so i can lower the front more



new seats and harnsse's fitted




also modified the front bumper and removed the front fogs for better airflow to the intercooler



and removed some inner arch for better airflow out of the intercooler



thats now how it stands just waiting for the new roll bars and brakes then will be looking for more power.

is there a chance of the wheel kicking a stone into the cooler and damaging it?

 

Alleady thought of that I have some mesh to fit
