Default Series RS Turbo Rust problem

I have rust underneath my series 2 near the seals on the floor of the car
What is best way to tackle the rust problem?

Is it best to remove all the interior, carpet and do it that way or from underneath?

Never done any of this before so any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks
James

So cut the area of rust out and then weld a patch in?

have you got any pics mate. best to remove all the rust as twins says. strip all the trim in that area and see how bad it is. I always picture rust as an iceberg lol, you may only see a little but underneath could be alot more..
