which oil???

Default which oil???

i have just bought some 10w40 castrol gtx for my rst will this be a good enough oil? also what oil do i need for my gearbox?

75/90 gear box oil. 10 /40 should be ok. i would recommend 15/50 mobil1 motorsport!

wots history of engine try use same oil has car has always had. if you dont know i would use lucas synthetic 20/50 race oil or 10/60 lucas has additives to stop metal to metal contact and is very good oil compared to most off the shelf oils and for your gear box lucas do 75/90 sythetic gear oil and have read up good for rs turbo gear box using lsd hope this helps

So which oil would you recommend i use on my XR£i 1990 EFI, would it be the same as the rs turbo, Halfords recommend 5w30 partly synthetic? Any advice would be good thanks!

same as above would be good enough (added protection )
