Looks very tasty indeed really have a soft spot for the mk3 cabs as they are the only soft top car i would ever have.
Also thought it looked good in bare primer weirdly.

 

hi mate i didn,t want to fit spoiler. but guy at paintshop never rewelded holes on boot. in fact it back fired on him because he made great job of car and only had boot left to do i phoned him to do boot 3 weeks after paint job and he rushed it ,fucked it up and had to redoe it lol .The spoiler is actually from a volvo ( shhhhhhhhhhhhh

 

Funny you should say it looks good in grey primer i liked it in just grey primer plus shells really good and straight so suited car and bought out its shape ive owned this for 9 years now 2nd time i built it

must admit i love it going for rolling road soon . see wot it pushing on new spec may be at limits of mfi now with fifth injector bosche 803 mite car might be up for sale soon

u wana go and see my mate at sprint autos warstock his really good mine cost 1200 but work paid half 4 me

 

cabs now on pistonhaeds see if theres much interest , dont really wana sell but might do another project

ha ha spoiler is off a volvo modded to fit escort then remoulded and made from fibre glass the spoiler seems to catch more atention than car itself lol

 

i know find it hard to part with mine . do a few shows this year then sell it i think .i fancy mk1 xr2 i am going to turbo one

Nice project.I like the look of a good mk3 escort.

 

ive had car out week end drives great very powerful more in torque department , every think seems to work well just gota go rolling road now see wot bhp she is and get stiffer suspenion (konis ) or coil overs ) if any one got any going at right price then ready for ford fair

 

after ford fair car covered 138 miles round trip as we went long way lol , i decided to change engine for zetec this where i have got to i used 2 ltr zetec from a mondeo with skimmed pistons to lower compression ratio , i then renewed every think oil pump , water pump , cam belt and pulleys , had crank measured and polished then fitted new acl shells and bearings in heavey duty ,rebuilt head and ported and polished it ,renewed stem seals e.t.c fitted uprated turbo spec cams ,fitted head using mls head gasket ,few other mods that was needed ,turbo feed ,head ,machined for dizzy and spacer plate drilled , tapped and dyed then machined and polished to give it a good flow is now ready to fit in car .

 

awsome looking car and how did you fit a dizzy to a zetec?
