5w 50 oil is alright to use

5w is the thickness of the oil when cold

50 is the thickness when hot

15w 50 is just thicker when cold, will take longer to get around the engine and to the top end

i used 5/50 in my rs turbo for years with no problems

G2RSR is right.

Alot of people seem to think that you should look to use a thicker oil with a car this old but they're wrong. Ask any oil manufacturer and they'll tell you that 5/50 is what you should be using.

Millers is a good oil, have a look on this site for future reference Passionford members get discount.

Default Fooking Car!!!

We'll changed the sump for a new one used the 5 50 oil not tjhat bad little tappy but don't matter cos 2 days later all the oil pissed out between the oil cooler!

never touched the oil cooler took it a garage this mornin an he just took the oil cooler off an fitted the oil filter back sorted. He took it off cos it had no pipes to it so cant be doing any thing. god knows who built this car. any way now gonna get new oil tomorrow 15 50
