Default escort van 1.8D immobiliser problem.

sorry mods ive posted this under general before i seen this section, delete other if neccessary, cheers.

anyways,

I've just fitted another 1.8D engine into my escort van (like for like engine wise) but now the immobiliser seems to be kicking in and stopping it from even cranking. ive still got the full donor van so any bits can be taken out and used in mine.
ayone experienced this before or know how to solve it?

*add*
the immob light (below the clock) is flashing constanly when ignition is moved to crank position. i still get ignition lights, and heater plug light goes as normal. on advice from a mate ive tried adding a +ve to the black wires going into the diesel stop soleniod but it just flashes the ignition lights.

Not by any means sure on this particular one, but you may need the ecu from the donor and the chipped key, some diesels have a immoby built into the pump electronics so pump and ecu go together, like I say not at all sure though.

just pulled the pats module out the donor van and tried it in. The lights flashing constantly still but a lot slower than it was and theres no code at the end (3:1 with the original module). Anyone got any ideas?
