zetec sump

how come we have to drill and tap holes in the zetec sump to plum for a turbo escort rs turbos dont have any cant i just put holes in the block like the rs turbo set up and where would i stick them

I'm fairly sure my CVH turbo sump has a return in the rear of it

my fiesta rst had a turbo oil return to the sump (front)
