After far too much time wasted messing about and generally being treated like some second class imbecile and now being unable to actually respond to my original postings as mark has locked the thread,am I actually able to advertise anything on here for sale WITHIN the rules of up to four cars a year etc?I AM NOT TRADING within passionford and will only be advertising my private vehicles for sale on here and I will not advertise parts as for some reason two spineless,speculating ill informed busybodies decided to report me for trading rather than simply asking me first what the score was with the parts have basically caused all this shit.I'm a paid up goldmember and as I've been informed I may do so and as admin haven't had the decency to respond either via pm or to this thread then I expect my private adverts not to be removed unless I get a full explanation why.I'd just like to take this chance to thank all the people on here who've backed me up on this,in fact nobodys disagreed with anything I've had to say so dosent that mean that as more than two members agree I've been mistreated then surely the majority rules and my advertising rights should be allowed?just as an example in life if two seperate people phoned the police and said that you were driving dangerously when you knew you weren't and you were then told you would be banned from driving even though there was no real evidence against you ,just on the hearsay of others I very much doubt you would find that acceptable.if you then challenged that descision with the officer in question and he just told you to accept it and that as the court had not responded to you then they must agree with his descision would you find that acceptable?no?well neither do I!!I'm sure there's people on here who think I'm probably going too far with this and that I should just forget it but why the fuck should I?I don't like being accused of being a liar,especially by people who don't even know me.something smells about this,and it's not just my rotten feet,there seems to be some backtracking going on as well,it's gone from me obviously being a trader because someone said
and I had parts for more than one car for sale to "£10 dosent cover you to sell parts you aquirred from a garage",sounds a bit watered down now dosent it?I appreciate your swift responses to the posts on this matter mark but can you just give me a straight answer,with full explanations as to whether or not I may sell my private items/vehicles on here?

I dont know the full story,but looking into you post history you are trade of some sort,you evenm asked about advertisng your business which i belive is a body shop of some sort ??
anyway looking thorugh your sales history you have tried to advcertise items and a vehicle namely a damaged van which you have obvioulst bought to sell on,also the large amount of cosworth spares you opnely admit you have aquired a "job lot" these are not your personal items they have all ben auired to sell on for profit,this is classed as trading.
you also state you wanted to advertise as a trader on this site but have changed you mind seeing the fees have gone up
sorry but you cant have it both ways,and for the record a private gold member can only advertise 4 cars per year anyone who is known or considered to be a trader cannot.

 

Yeah,point taken with the van,and yes I've been open about the fact that I have my own bodyshop,I won't say too much on that as it's a bit of blatent advertising otherwise.as I've previously stated 1,000,001 times,maybe more the parts came to me over two years ago almost as a thankyou really for getting my mate two brand new st's.I've only put a fraction of the parts on here as it would be unfair to list them all.it's only really come to light now as I was scrawling through the parts ads looking for bits for a car and I responded to some parts I've had for sale since 2008!!I mean,if this was my main job I wouldn't be doing too well at it would I!!I would love to advertise on here but I was originally quoted 60% less than the bumpf sent to me via email and there appears to be no negotiation on these rates,I can get the same advertising perks on migweb for £50 a YEAR,not a month!!be honest,in business you expect a discount on anything,not a levy!!I'm happy to go with the flow as far as parts are concerned,if people are upset by it then I'll accept that and move on,the van post was removed almost immediatley as it was deemed a business advert and was sold to the first person who looked at it,just thought I'd offer it first as it was a great little van for someone.all I'm asking now is that when I come to sell my Cossie or anyone of upto four of my private vehicles I get treated the same as any other goldmember.as you can imagine it's very frustrating for me as basically everyone who's read this agrees I'm not taking the piss,you've made some valid points and I pretty much agree with most of them,I just hope a line can be drawn under this as I want to get on with sorting out my vehicles before emigrating and actually winding the business up.no one can say I haven't been open about all this and I believe that's why I've had so much support on this matter.let's hope when the times right to let the Cossie go, my ranting won't go against me!!!

 

Thanks mate,really appreciate the support.I can see how it may look to some people that I'm trying it on but when the facts are presented most sensible folk just say "fair enough,those ads are three years old and he's only ever sold about three items on here".it's simple enough to sort and didn't require a witchunt , those people who chose to report me to the mods only needed to pm me and point out a few things and it could have been sorted with no drama rather than being TOLD that I'm a trader who can no longer sell private items.tbh I got messed about like fuck on here with two idiots regarding my Cossie bonnet so that's going on the bay for at least £80 more than I offered it on here,I'm still waiting on a call for the st200 bits so it wasn't life threatening,just very dissapointing!!

 

i think ... that as you are "in business" that it will be an issue, and by no means you are not the only person who has had this issue ...
trading is classed in a loose terminology as providing services from which you get payment for services given... be it in the motor trade or any other field..
i understand your comments and do in some way sympathise with your issues you have ...
the hard part for the mods/admin is that like you have quoted above
we have only your word that what you say is true if you get my drift...
others have said the same things and later been fond out, now its easier to rule with one decision in this case rather than getting caught up in long ongoing arguments that don't ever really sort anything out.
i will ask admin again what their views are but i feel they will be the same as i have already pointed out above.

i dont want to sound negative or make you any more stressed out than you are about this but really i do understand all your comments you have put forward.

Thanks for at last answering a few of my questions with honest,decent answers rather than skirting around the issues like what has happenned so far.Again,you've made totally valid and understandable points and I completley understand your suspicions.your quite correct about long,ongoing arguments and after reading the thread if there's a blanket rule regarding anyone involved in the motor industry/likely to gain from pf then ok although I really think all cases should be judged on their own merits.mark acted due to the fact that two people chose to report me as a trader,neither of these people know me,I'm pretty confident of that as if they did I'm sure they would have pm'd me first to prevent all of this,my main umbridge is that I was banned from selling without anyone asking me first what the background was to me selling these parts etc.could you answer me one more question on this matter?how far do we go in deciding who's trading?I mean,if someone sells a car on here and takes one in p/x and then sells it on here,is he/she a trader?I mean,it could be argued that by taking a p/x your offering motor trade facilities.if someone buys a rotten Rs turbo and breaks it for spares,hes considered a trader,however same person buys same car,starts a very brief resto thread and declares the car rotten and is breaking it "just to get his money back" is not frowned upon,although essentially it's the same thing,just some members are being clever about it.If you work on the reception of your local kwikfit,does that make you a motortrader?I doubt it!I used to work in a ford car manufacturing plant,yet when I went to buy parts from my local motor factors,I recieved no discount as I wasn't considered in the motortrade,although on here purely because I now own my own business within the motortrade it is now considered that anything I do must be trade related and therefore I am a trader and must pay trade rates to advertise.this is at best unfair and at worst a form of discrimination.I understand that you're protecting the members on here as it did get silly before with people advertising shit in their sigs etc. but I don't think it's fair to tar us all with the same brush.I've been mega honest about all this,I've offered people to come and inspect where I've kept the parts ffs!! Once again,thanks for being so polite etc and actually LISTENING to me and don't worry about me getting stressed,I run my own business now so I know all about stress,your descision is your descision and I'll stick by it,but as I've said before,it'll certainly tarnish my impressions of this otherwise excellent website.

 

I actually acted after looking through your post history... the reports just alerted me to the fact that you might be a trader.

You have acquired items which you have then advertised on here soley to make a profit, you are therefore a trader and should you wish to advertise any further items on this site you will need to pay the traders fees.

Once again i am closing this topic as the decision has been made.
