Turbo question
Rite. This is a good one.
I'm in the process of rebuilding my garrett t3. I have the compressor side down to the bare shaft so i can see the circlip holding in the bearing.
I'm having a bit of trouble removing the turbine housing
Its water cooled so three bolts catch the bearing core but also its a really tight fit. I've tried a few taps with a hammer but found the housing to be catching the turbine blades
Is there any way to remove turbine housing without damaging the blades?
Any help or suggestions appreciated

sork in wd40 for a few day's ,then plenty of heat with a tourch and use a small club hamer
hit it and check if it starts to touch the blades then hit the other side of the housing to move it away the from the blades

as said, work round the housing with short sharp taps, don't hit it with something too soft as it needs the jolt to get it to crack free, just work round it and it'll come off nicely.
