The car drives sooooooo much better!!!!
I will never ever fit 17's again, it's just not worth it!
Even with my quick rack the steering on 16's is so light by comparison and the turning circle is so much tighter, the overall feeling of control is greater, I couldnt be happier i'm almost not interested in how they look! lol
So for anyone thinking of fitting 17's..... if you value the way it drives.... DONT DO IT!!!
Few pics....
300mm brakes are snug but not too snug...
Cossie rears...
I will be launching those shitty tyres in the skip though and fitting some T1-R's or PZero's
Oh and my car now sits 15.25mm lower too!
But if I were to drop to 195/40/16's it would be 20.25mm lower... lol

That looks the proper nuts dude!! really loving them wheels, may be temped to put some on my car but in black, may have to use your pic to play in photoshop.
That looks bloody sweet mate, bodywork looks seriously mint there to, nice one.
Paint is 2 years old now, there are a few microblisters, couple of car park dents, and the odd scratch, but for the most part it is pretty good, you should see it when the sun hits it... Gold ghost pearls in the laquer, looks awsome!!
Shimmers in the sun, hard to capture in a pic but this shows it a little...

I like the wheels but how do you drive it with the seat laying so far back ?
lmao!
I have a bad back so need to sit reclined, but the seat is slid all the way back so I can get out without rubbing on the recaro bolster and wearing it out!
I dont drive quite that far back!!!
Yeah Rob the Lambda was yet another ball ache to add to my already long list of ball aches! lol
But all good now!
Lol glad its all sorted mate, don't know if it helps you at all but i had toyo's on my car when i got it and never really rated them as much as others, found the continental premium sports to be far better, and my dad rates pzeros on his car. Just bought some avon zz3's for my daily driver and for the money i can't fault them.
they sit lovely i had 215/50 888's on at the pod last weekend and the grip was fucking ace when i went out driving to shops etc you could throw the car around and felt so planted fills arches nicely without sticking out looked just right i'm going to put goodyear 215/40/16 on my new comps for a good alround choice should grip well and handle too
Karlos your rims look so much better than your old 17's even though they are 16's, like the gold calipers best colour that's what I've done mine in too..
lmao!

Thats interesting, i have a bad back sometimes but i have to have the seat bolt upright. i look like the guy from men in black trying to drive that pest control van getting in and out lol
p.s did you ring power gears about the gearbox? were they able to help you?
lol Yeah it's funny i'm the opposite if I sit bolt upright i'll be in real bad pain after about 20mins!
I've had a fella on here offer me a CTS 2+ for a fair price so hopefully I will be sorting that out, if not then i'll look at my other options, cheers!
Cheers!
My car came with 17's and I have not driven a MK4 escort with anything but 17's since 1999 so I forgot how they drive on normal wheels! lol
Glad I made the change though!
