Yup somehow snagged on the wiper mechanism and was completely wound tight round the motor!! I only realised because the wipers got stuck halfway and I opened he bonnet to investigate! lol

May have a CTS 2+ sorted, fella on here bought one from Dave Moore Editor of Perfomance Ford and has not fitted it, going MTX instead, so I should be buying that.

LMAO
It does seem that I have some bad luck doesnt it!?!!
I just put these things down to it being a learning curve.... when you build, wire, and map your own car all from scratch for the first time there are a lot of little things that can go wrong that you would do differently the the next time.
Which is why I always post everything up so other people can learn from my mistakes, and also from the few things I've discovered or overcome myself!

Oh I seriously take my hat off to you for all the diy work you done, wish I could do more to my car like you have to yours, a much better feeling that someone else doing it for you.
just feel for you as its like nearly everyday lately that you've had another set back, you must be dying to drive her for fun and fun only.

bad times that, lesson to learn is that something will get tangled if it's not secured away.
i had this on my steering column under the dash, filled car with smoke and burnt a lot of wiring out.
needless to say i'm more careful now and use fuses all over.
glad that the greys are doing well, i found my rs turbo pump was getting rubbish, now changed to a 979 pump, that's between the 2wd cossie and 044 pump in the range, i've had to pull PW out of my ve tables now, really holds the pressure better as flow increases.

had very similar happen on mine, mate was driving it to national day for me and rang me to say wipers had packed up, he opened bonnet to see a big multicore wrapped around mechanism just like yours as. Luckily the cable wasnt made off yet, i'd passed it through bulkhead whilst dash was out to use at a later date so no drama really. Nice scorch marks on that circuit board!!! Keep at it Karlos, really is turning into a saga this car of yours! Glad mine aint running when I read about all these problems!
