Basically i wanted to know if it will just go into my normal escort turbo clocks, its just im about to buy some new clocks with white dials in then just at last moment before paying for them i remembered that i will be needing to et a efi rev counter now ive gone cossie management etc.
Anyone know if its just a case of removing old rev counter and putting efi one in and will work fine with the number lay out of the 'mfi' lockwood dials.

you could use any rev counter, just a case of recalibrating.
this can be done by opening up the gauges and adjusting the rev counter adjustment pot till it reads right, i set mine when reving to 3000rpm with timing light showing the same.

interesting info that is wishy, I've got efi clocks sat ready to be fitted in mine, when I get the bloody thing to start
so I could just connect my car to the gas analyser at work then do as you did

How much does that cost to do Wishy, its just that i could buy a efi rev counter clock from breakers for about Ł10/15 quid. I just wondered whether i should buy these dials or if it'll end up that i cant use them in the end lol.
doesn't cost anything to do really.
you'll probably find they only read half the value from mfi to efi and vice versa, so just take clocks out and split open, under the rev counter bit there should be an adjustment screw with a dab of glue holding it in calibration, just pop this off and adjust with a screwdriver.
i don't have a pic at the moment sadly, but it's there for calibrating the multiplier of the signal to clock readout

i did find when i tryed to use my original mfi rev counter it didn't show anything at all though- it wasn't till i changed to one out of a efi xr3i it did anything.

What i want to know though is can u fit the efi rev counter into the standard dials, i.e take out the mfi rev counter. Just wondered as i want to buy some white dials off someone.
May be totally wrong with this, but I thought the EFi rev counter issue came about through using coil packs with wasted spark. If you're using a normal single coil, like a standard RST why can't you use your standard clocks?
