Ive only had my rebuilt 1600cvh in my s2 for just over a year but im gonna rebuild it again cos im now craving more power. Just want to know the best con rod and piston combo for over 200bhp in a 1600cvh? Heard with some forged pistons you can get bad piston slap? Thanks

Yes mate they are Wossner pistons, and PEC rods, so far (about 3000miles) they are spot on!
My old accralites slapped from cold so IMO these are better than those
Jano cannot give the discount he used to so I think all in it's about Ł800 now.

Well.. Low CR that is 7.5:1, I had to wait a bit for mine as I want stock CR 8.5:1 but was well worth the wait as the response my engine has is excellent!

 

Has Jano got a garage in romford? Was gonna build the bottom end myself but if jano is as well priced & as good work quality as everybody says he is then might just drop it off an get him to do it

Dropped my engine block off at oddkid creation yesterday and was well impressed. Jano is a proper decent bloke and really knows his stuff

 

I'm gonna have my car trailered to him if Its not running by the end of next weekend. If it is a runner, once mot'd again I will drive the 500+ miles for a final set up

 

Gonna get him to put cossie management on mine aswell, jus need to get abit more cash together. Wish i'd have gone to him sooner and then i wouldnt have wasted so much money
