i just picked up a mercury grey xr3 with the mfi engine on a F reg with 108k on clock , every MOT and every tax disc from new with full history more invoices than u can wave a stick at , all origional hand books , the origonal xr owners club application form , 4th owner from new , only needs the front seat mountin points welding and a rear quarter spraying , all other known rot areas are rock solid , only thing thats been changed is it has rs tubo front seats which are twisted for sum unknown reason all this for the bargain price of :P 450 quid

just took the car for an MOT only failed on rear brakes and 2 bits of welding around the front seat mounting points , not bad for a 21 year old car and it seems its the first MOT which it has needed welding for , am going to try and source some genuine ford floor pans for it. seems really gutsy on juice tho :O thort my polo gti was bad , dnt help that the fuel gauge is up and down like a yo yo when im driving it . might try a new sender unit , pics will be coming soon , i want to get it lookin spot on before i put pics up :P having driven her now a few times i think i'll keep her and look after it , as a sort of investment so to speak
why dont you just put pics up the way it is! and then put pics when ure finished with it. this thread will be pointless by posting pics when its finished only
