I run my own respray/bodywork business which I have had for just under a year.recently on here,I decided to shove a little van on here that we'd had in as salvage,I'm a gold member by the way.the advert hadn't been on here more than an hour and was also my first time of advertising a car on here.the advert was promptly removed and I recieved an email from markyd3 staring that somebody on here had told him I was a trader and therfore hadn't paid trade rates etc.when I challenged mark,he said it was due to the fact that I have several adverts on here for different car parts therefore I am a trader,however those adverts for parts are over two years old and I fully explained in them why they were for sale,I just thought pf members would like first dibs on them.I've only sold a fraction of what I've got as I've still got my own Cossie and don't want to give everything away!!!!I've now been banned from selling on here unless I pay a ridiculous fee of £50 per month,nearly £20 a month more than I've been originally quoted,I was expecting a deal on the £31.50!!i've spoken to mark about this and explained my position,I agree the van advert could be argued that's for business use so I accept the removal of it but to ban me from selling parts I've owned for over two years is ridiculous frankly.I feel I've had no real answers so far and just seem to be moved around with no one saying where I stand,can I now post items for sale or do I have to pay trade rates no matter what,if it's the latter then I won't be using passionford again.I feel I've been as open as I possibly can,I've even offered for a trusted member of pf to view the parts and where imstoring them to accept my authenticity.in marks defence he's been very helpful via pm and has told me to put the case on here as he's forwarded my explanations to admin yet I have recieved no response as yet,kind regards,Vaughan.

No they weren't mark,as I've tried and tried to explain and quite frankly it's really starting to annoy me now that I'm still having to explain myself.I haven't broken any of these cars all the parts came from a garage clearance due to someone owing me money which is why I only have a tailgate,rear bumper and one seat from a mondeo st200,a set of lights off a mk5 Rs 2000,an escos bonnet etc etc.it's only come about because I dared make a comment that a member on here was entitled to make as much money selling his car as he likes and that the trader in question would have to have made a profit in the first place otherwise he wouldn't be trading for long.fuck me if I did!!!xxx wouldn't do that,how dare you suggest xxx would do such a thing,xxx only sells cars at a loss,I've blanked the traders name as he's done nothing wrong in this it's just the retarded people who think that if you pay x for a car,you can only sell it for x or less as people aren't allowed to make a profit,what???I still haven't had a proper answer as to whether I can sell these bits or anything else for that matter on here as for some reason my posts keep falling on deaf years.mark,please don't state things unless you know the facts,you have no proof I'm breaking several cars and selling these parts on here,as stated previously most of those original posts were from over two years ago so I'm not doing very well from it am I?can I please just have an answer as to whether I can sell these bits on here as I cannot see how I'm breaking any rules so therefore I believe you must be breaking rules by preventing me from selling items that I have explained the sources of and even offered for someone local to view where the items are stored,can I be more open?please give me a descision soon as I'm at the point of fucking this site off.

IMO and the opinions of the other mods the £10 a year does not cover you for selling a large job lot of parts that you have acquired solely for the purpose of selling on at a profit... this is classed as TRADING.

I cannot comment as to why Admin have not responded but can only assume that that they uphold the decision that has been made.

 

If thats the case then why do you see it time and time again people selling large lots of car parts on here???? seems to me as though he is being singled out!!

 

If thats the case and you feel so strongly about it why have you never bothered to report them to us?

NOONE is being singled out!! we remove suspected traders as and when we find them, this particular case was looked into after we had two reports by two different members that this person was a trader.

Im now locking this thread as all questions have been answered and Admin can unlock and respond should they wish to.
