Default Drove with my XR3i box in today...

.... It was actually really really nice!
The final drive is soooo much nicer than the long arse XR2 one (4.29 vs 3.58) that was in my old box, car is so much more responsive! Almost dont want to grop to a RST one (3.82)
Although at 80mph your doing 4000rpm so not very economical, but always in the power band!
Also bought some Bosch 403's (Greys) so I can safely run full boost again
Anyone know if they are Hi or Low impedance, IIRC they are low?

Well it's only a stop gap until I land a CTS S2+ box but I will go easy
Yeah it has tested my patience, when my head dropped a valve seat destroying my engine in November I was very close to breaking the car!

you'll find the greys deliver so much more fuel and with the rst box it'll still be in the power band between gears just you'll be getting more speed per gear my box took the pod well over the weekend 12 hard runs and a couple of hours mapping on sat night plus the 8 hours to get there and back so seems to be holding up well

converting to cossie management, including wasted spark conversion.

can't get spark or injector pulse when cranking, every sensor is new or 100% confirmed good, ecu's been checked on 1 of jano's cars, coil and ignition modules work coz when ignitions switched on you initally get a spark at every plug, my heads totally up my bum, I've spent a lot of money on it this winter and now it won't run

Ripped the loom back out of it now to try and find a fault or have it checked out.

Seriously wish I had never started the bloody conversion, At this rate it might end up going to jano's on a trailer but thats gonna cost a bomb

your pulley is not picking up the signal at right time or your cranking settings in management are off

Johnny and project rs

The ecu had the pectal board and map added infront of me, it was then fitted into a car that had the system which it fired straight up, my mate then fitted the wasted spark driver, and we have since sent the ecu to okc and it started a car, so were confident that the ecu's good

We've checked for signal at the ecu hairbrush using an osciloscope for the crank sensor and phase sensor, all seems good, both sensors are new, were gonna have another look at it on thursday night

The sensor's are set up as instructed with 6thou air gaps

I'm even thinking of buying a brand new loom if It would sort the thing out, I've spent £2000 this winter and all I have is a car that won't start, I'm really pi55ed with it now

Greys will do more than 536cc, mine tested at well over 600cc. They are weird injector, which is why you can't get off the shelf chips for them.

Set the PWM current settings to 1.0ms and 75%.

Sell all the Cossie stuff and just keep your coil pack and crank sensor setup, I can get you a MS2 for a discounted price and have you up and running in a day!
If your not too far from me that is! lol

Thanks for that Rick!
Any reason you use 75% and not 30% like Phil says on his site?

depends on whether there is a flyback board installed IIRC as to what current limit is set to.
it's all in the manual somewhere for extra codes.

Oh! lol
TBH I have no idea, but you can set it to what ever type of trigger you want, although you will need someone to map it if you did go that route.
Is a shame you are so far away mate would have been good to get you up and running!

Best I have a read, no idea what a flyback board is! No mention of that on Extraefi when Phil says how to setup the injector constants
