hi guys, my cossie seems to use quite a bit of oil, when i shut off, let it run in gear, then put my foot back down i get a puff of smoke now and again, i have changed the turbo but think it needs reconditioning now because there is a bit of play in it, but other than the turbo going... how much oil does your cossies use? / miles.. cheers liam

 

A little bit is nothing to worry about, when new Ford said 1 litre to 600 miles is normal.

mine dont burn much just leaks it. lol

 

mines leaks oil from front crankshaft seal , ive replaced it 3 times , ive given up now,
i think tabetha said there was a different kind of seal that can be fitted.
if i had the undertray it wouldnt leave a pool on garage floor.

 

Maybe you should get the cover skimmed to sit flush !

 

mines used a about half litre in 3000 miles
