Got a new job, years of hard slog, but I got there!
And boy am I pleased with myself. Since working for my company all I wanted to do was be a in Branch Business Manager looking after business customers.
Most people go through a graduate fast track scheme and it takes them two years to get there. Not an option I had unfortunately.
Now I recon am a smart bloke, memory like a sieve however, but I pick things up and never make the same mistake twice. But I wasted my school years. Got good GCSE's, but discovered alcohol and a social life when I was doing my A-Levels and it all went down the pan.
But I started off working when I was 19 in financial services and apart from a small stint of going back to college to study a BTEC in Auto Engineering I kept getting back into finance.
I started working for my current employer four years ago. And it was in the first position I had there I met my first Business In Branch Manager. He told me what he did and from that moment on the last four years of my life have been devoted to one thing, getting into that role myself.
Well, yesterday, after attending a 3 hour interview on Thursday, I got the news I wanted, I got the position.
As soon as I am releasable from my existing position I will be assigned a branch somewhere in the south west of london and I will start looking after business account customers for myself.
Properly pleased.
I know, sorry if I am boasting, but I'm so pleased I can't wait to get started.
So if your self employed and live somewhere in the south east of london and want a friendly bank manager you know who to call

It will be somewhere around our area. Problem is don't know when I will start, could be in a month, could be three as they have to get a replacement in on my current position, but get a plan together and we can sort a meeting to talk things over.
I will look into it more, get a business plan made up, etc
