Can anyone reccomend anywhere in the northeast preferably teesside or durham where I can get my spare gearbox checked out and repaired if needed. Just been for a run out this morning all going well till I pulled up on my drive and the car is stuck in 2nd gear, no bangs or crunches and I can move the gearstick but can't select anything with it being stuck in gear.
Need it done sharpish if anyone can reccomend somebody.

do you know wenny off here. He might be able to give you some advice. No doubt the gearbox will have to come out. Hope your well fella. Glad you still have the saff i thought you might of broke it for bits by now.

 

Were you ragging it? Just Lawnsy's used to get stuck in gear when really hot, then once it had cooled down it was alright. His was a T5 like...

 

Absolutely torturing it, cold now but still stuck in, just took the gaitor off and it looks like it might just be the selector arm has come off or snapped as I can move it about a fair bit where as it is fairly solid on my spare box.

I'm well Glen howabout you, I was hoping to get to the meet the other week but never got time, I have done a full topend rebuild on the car over winter with all new engine sensors and it now has a mountune 4 layer head gasket so that shouldn't go again.
I reckon it will have to go this year like I just have the time for it at the moment so somebody else may get the fun out of it.
