A quaife diff is a good upgrade, people have mentioned a Jag diff too, which model of Jag I don't know though

Trouble now with the standard diff is the visous coupling normally needs a re rate this is what causes alot of the trouble also the planet gears are weak, they can cope with moderate power quite well but if your doing alot of hard lauches they don't last long. You can get plated diffs they are a good upgrade and go in place of the standard with no additional fabrication.

Have a look at these threads for some more info if you like

Particularly pages 2 and 3 for info on the viscous coupling

Also this is interesting

With regard to viscous coupling diffs, as far as I know CTS and Bara will both restore/uprate a VC type diff. I'd suggest you need access to specialist equipment/viscous fluids to do it yourself. Depending on where you live in the country take it along to one of those guys to get it done.
Obviously you've still got the problem of the OE gears.

Unless you can buy bits secondhand and/or fit/machine bits yourself or at mates rates it will be a four figure sum for a plated/Quaife diff up and running
